Bentov, Mordekhai
(b. 1900)
   Israeli politician. Born in Poland, he settled in Palestine in 1920. He was editor of the Mapam daily from 1943 to 1948. In the 1948 provisional government he served as minister of labour and reconstruction. He sat in the Knesset as a member for Mapam from 1949 to 1965, then from 1966 to 1969 he was minister of housing. He published books and articles on politics and economics.
